Crafterventions are free, public interventions designed to continue the teaching of traditional handmade craft practices. Interventions take place in public parks and spaces around New York City, targeting those wouldn’t take the time to learn a craft or skill on their own.
Crafterventions are a component of my MFA Design and Technology thesis project In a World Without, a series of projects dedicated to bringing craft to the public. In a World Without was a year-long thesis project that I developed as a second year MFA DT student.
You can find much more information on Craftervention.com, including downloadable PDF guides, information on the events and more branding for the project.
